Farewell to Federal Fire, San Diego

One week prior to my move to NY, I had to say goodbye to everyone at Federal Fire, San Diego. I had the pleasure of working with a wonderful group of people, especially the firefighters, who have dedicated their lives to the safety and protection of others. It was truly my honor to serve with them. Affectionally know as "my boys", the guys I worked with at Station 7 proved to be the most difficult of goodbyes. In my short time with them, they have become like my family away from home and they will hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life. Thank you for taking these pictures with me.
My boys, this is for you...I love ya; you're the best!

I came home with a wrap/carrier for Mia. Well, lets just say that Milo wanted to be the baby.

Bath time!

Mia absolutely loves her bath time. She loves getting into the warm water, especially when I wash her hair. She's a water baby, just like her big brother & her Mom.

The Nursery, so sweet.

Mia's nursery is finally ready! We had some delays (like the furniture not getting here until after Mia was born and the dresser needing some "repairs" since it feel off the delivery truck...ugh!), so Mia's nursery was not completed until she was almost 1 moth old. Thanks to my Mom for setting up the bookcase and night stand, my Dad for repairing the dresser (it looks perfect, by the way), my Dad-In-Law for his help with hanging the quilt and butterfly mobile and my Mom-In-Law for helping me to organize all her clothes (and for buying a lot of them, too). A big thanks to my friends Shawn & Tammy who painted the room for me! I've got the best family and friends and Mia's nursery is a dream!

Mia - 1 month; Jan 8th

Our little Mia is one month old.

Here she is in some random pictures before her first month arrived

Mom's birthday...kinda

We celebrated Mom's birthday a little early by taking her to lunch at California Pizza Kitchen (she loves it and they don't have one in upstate NY where she lives) and then roaming around the Hotel del Coronado and it's beach. So beautiful. Mia wore a dress for the first time in honor of the occasion. During our time at the del, Mia got hungry so we had to stop for a bit to feed her. The Hotel del is famous for it's many Hollywood stars and politicians who have stayed, as well as for it's most famous guest, Marilyn Monroe. She stayed here multiple times and filmed the movie "Some Like It Hot" within the hotel. Apparently, she loved the hotel and visiting it you can see why.
